My Experience on Council

I have served two terms on City Council and have acquired a fair bit of experience in a variety of City-related matters. I have a good working knowledge of the Community Charter and Local Government Act and have actively supported the updating and creation of new bylaws and policies at the City.  I am good at digging into the details of staff reports and proposals and believe that my questions and suggestions add value to the great work that our staff are doing.

 I have been appointed to and currently sit on the Boards of the Kimberley Health Centre Society and the Kimberley Community Development Society and have been attending Watershed Advisory Committee meetings throughout my time on Council. I have appreciated working with my fellow council members and although we do not always agree on issues we have been able to act (most of the time) in a collegial and constructive manner in the best interests of the community.
